ios-9-3
While developers have had weeks to get used to
iOS 9,
regular iPhone users can try it out for the first time today thanks to
the release of the first public beta for iOS 9. Apple says that iOS 9
will hopefully be a more stable release than either of its past two
releases, iOS 7 and iOS 8. Other features include significant
improvements to its Siri voice assistant that will give it more context
awareness, added public transportation data for Apple Maps, improvements
to the Notes application that will make it easier to make checklists,
and multitasking features for the iPad.
Apple
on Wednesday officially released its third developers-only beta for iOS
9, which added more stability improvements and also finally let iOS
beta users experience
Apple Music.
The beta is compatible with the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone
5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad 2 or later, iPad mini or later, and
fifth-generation iPod touch.
